Do you have an API available?
We sure do. Check out http://esvapi.org for more information.
Will the Kindle study apps "talk" to my online account? I don't want to buy a kindle version (even tho the Gospel Transformation Bible is on great sale) if it won't talk to the versions I own on the ESVStudy Wesbite honestly. Thanks!
No, those can’t talk to each other, mainly with limitations on the Kindle platform. Notes you make are there stay in the Kindle system, and we can’t get access to them to sync them back to our site.
I've noticed a number of cross references on the new ESV Bible site have not survived the conversion from the old format (e.g. 1 Cor. 1:19). What is the best way to report these broken references when I find them?
You can post them here, if that’s easiest. Otherwise, you can post them as support tickets on our community site.
Our three developers work remotely (Chicago, IL; Vancouver, WA; Baton Rouge, LA) so we don’t get to see each other in person very often. We just pulled everyone in to Crossway headquarters for a week long retreat. While we were together, we figured we’d take a photo. An epic photo. An epic…band photo?
We’re releasing a new feature on esvbible.org today, and it’s free for all of our users.
Have you ever wanted to know the Greek behind the words you’re reading in the main column of esvbible.org? It’s now available with Greek Preview.
This feature is opt-in, so you’ll have to enable it in the settings panel:
Now when you click on a word in the main column, you’ll get a tooltip containing basic Greek morphological data.
We hope Greek Preview will enhance your study and deepen your time in the Word.
We’re excited to announce the availability of a new free app: Reformation Creeds and Catechisms.
Add the column from the Apps menu or view the resources directly here: http://www.esvbible.org/resources/creeds-and-catechisms/
We’re excited to announce that series apps are now consolidated in the Apps menu on esvbible.org. You’ll now get all of your content, Preaching the Word in this case, in a single column.
You’ll also notice that a series app column will show resources that are available but not yet purchased. Click on one of these resources to get a purchase link.
We hope you enjoy this simpler approach to series apps as much as we do.
I am trying to use the new website but I can't figure out how to set it to where I am in my readings. When I open the site I am at the right place (day 234) but when I log in it sends me to a different day (day 57). If I go to the legacy site and log in I am at the right place.
We should be able to get this fixed up. Can you create a ticket on our support site? http://community.crossway.org
Hey, ESV tech team. I noticed a small content error in the Greek tools App - the Gloss that is listed for the different forms of the word προσπίπτω is incorrect. The Strongs number for προσπίπτω is 4363 (and is correct in the app), but the gloss "crucify, fasten to a cross" is from Strong's 4362 προσπήξαντες. Compare Mark 7:25 (προσπίπτω) & Acts 2:23 (προσπήξαντες). Awesome product, guys. I use it for all my translation.
Thanks, I’ve passed this along.
