bslater21 asked: I love the note feature in the new version. For the last several Sunday's, I have typed my notes from the sermon in the note section of the appropriate chapter of scripture. I love this because now my notes come up each time I go back to the section of scripture that they belong to. However, sometime between May 5th and May 12th the ability to add a note changed. I can add the note, but cannot see the "save" and "cancel " buttons. So, I can't save my note! I am using ESV on my ipad.

Sorry about that! We made some style changes to the columns and it looks like they’re causing some issues. The buttons are still there, they’re just showing up below the page a bit. We’ll get this fixed up.

    Improved Scripture Copying

We’ve redesigned the way passages are copied on esvbible.org.

When you select text, you’ll get a choice between a copying options and passage detail options.

If you click “Copy”, you’ll see a simple popup with copy options.

If you click “Detail”, you’ll see the familiar passage detail popup, but without the clutter of copy options.

We believe this approach is cleaner and easier to use, and we think you’ll like it.

Let us know what you think.

karatedan asked: I'm a big of esvonline site and having access to so many web apps is fantastic. I do have a recommendation now that there are so many webapps. Is it possible to group the purchased webapps at the top of the scrollable list and not simply listing them alphabetically? I haven't purchased any of the PTW webapps and I need to scroll past them all to get to the Student Study Bible which I have purchased.

Absolutely, this has been annoying us as well. We’ll be fixing that up shortly.

marklevine28 asked: I am one of the biggest supporters of the ESVSB online site there probably is! As an Army chaplain I bought over a thousand dollars of product keys to give away to soldiers and their families over the years. Also, I use the site practically every day for my personal devotions. Anyway, I have some things I think you need to take a look at to the make the new site better and I haven't cracked the code on how I can address those concerns. A good email please would help a lot. Thanks for your help.

Thanks! Check out our feedback site at http://community.crossway.org and submit some ideas. We’d love to hear your thoughts.

pep1914 asked: Is Amos 4:4 in error? I believe this should be years not days.

It seems that most translations use days instead of years. I’ll pass this along, though.

canuck4life76 asked: I have the ESV Online Study + app and made the assumption that my Notes and highlighted verses would automatically transfer to the online domain ESV Online Study Bible but ido not see ANY of my notes except a handful from 2010! I have made 100's since then and they are trapped in my IPhone! Please help or shed some light on this for me.

Sorry for the confusion! Notes syncing is coming soon to our apps.

steve0112 asked: I love the ESV app for ipad. However, there is one issue that I find to be very inconvenient. If I am open to a particular passage of scripture and simply minimize the app, the next time I bring it up, it always goes back to Genesis 1. So if I have to use another app, the next time I bring back the ESV Bible, I have to again look up the original passage. Any thoughts or input?

Did you create the web app by adding the icon to your home screen from iOS Safari? We put out a fix a bit ago. You might want to delete the app and recreate it.

    First Steps Toward Infinite Scrolling

Infinite scrolling was a very important feature of the old esvbible.org. That’s why we’re taking extra care to get it right on the new version of the site.

Today we’re introducing our first step toward that goal. Infinite scrolling now works in Reader Mode.

Enter Reader Mode by clicking on the icon in the top-right corner of the Bible column.

Once you’re in Reader Mode, new chapters will appear as you scroll to the bottom of the column. Currently it only works as you scroll down. New chapters will not be fetched when scrolling up past the original chapter you navigated to.

When you exit Reader Mode, the site will be in the context of the last chapter that was loaded with infinite scrolling.

We hope you find this feature useful, and we appreciate your patience as we carefully implement infinite scrolling on the rest of the site.
